A few weekends ago, some of our new friends in Charleston invited us out for a casual evening on Edisto Island. And yes, we definitely did ask them for the proper pronunciation. Turns out it’s NOT “eh-DIST-oh”, but “EDD-is-toh”. Another new thing we’ve learned. The scene was just gorgeous, but I’ll let the pictures try to do the talking.
Phillip tried his hand at shrimping. He didn’t catch any, but his form wasn’t bad (apparently).
That evening we grilled out and just sat around and got to know each other better. It was a lot of fun and we hope we’re able to do it again soon. Yet another fun thing about our new city!
