We have walls, y’all! A few anyway. We were really excited to get started with the framing this week. I had to be in Birmingham for a few days for work, so I drove by our lot first thing this morning to see how things were going. I was just thrilled to see the house taking shape!

In indoor news, Ali Frick, our builder’s excellent choice for a design coordinator, and I met to discuss some flooring and tile options. Here were our favorite things:
Tile for the laundry room and second bath.
Master bath tile, possible shower border, and a sample of the granite for the master vanity.
Kitchen counter granite and possible backsplash stone.
There’s still a long way to go and several more decisions to make, but it’s exciting to have something tangible to touch. In my spare time, I’m starting to think about interior colors – anyone have any favorites or suggestions?
