No, there’s no metaphor to this one (not intended anyway). Just the facts of life from my mom reflecting what she’d learned this week. Isn’t she wonderful? Keep her in your thoughts – she’s been working insane hours (more than Phillip) for weeks, which is why she ran out of cat food and tried to feed them ham.
